MERCS is picking up steam, and it's player-base has grown to include Penny Arcade's Jerry Holkins, who uses the alter ego Tycho Brahe.

The tweet of praise from one the video gaming industry giants caused a record number of hits to the MERCS website, causing some problems on the site which were quickly rectified. MERCS is an amazing game and it was only a matter of time before people caught on.
